The Soap Kitchen - Tea Tree and Lime Shampoo Bar Review

Hello All

A massive welcome back to my blog. Today's post is another review post featuring a Tea Tree and Lime Shampoo bar from The Soap Kitchen.

Who are The Soap Kitchen?
The Soap Kitchen are based in Bideford in North Devon. it was founded by Richard and Lesley Phillips back in 2000 after realising there was nowhere to buy the ingredients for soap making in small quantities. What started as a hobby after the birth of their son back in 1992 has become an international business selling the materials to make your own cosmetics and selling organic toiletries and cosmetics.

See Richards story Here

The shampoo bar

My review is based on a shampoo bar kindly given to me by a friend and employee of the Soap Kitchen.
The packaging it came in is a recyclable cardboard box as shown below and features the company logo, the ingredients, the product weight and contact information on the back of the packaging.

The bar itself is plain in colour but the smell is amazing, I could instantly smell the lime when i took it out the box. Its the perfect size to hold in the palm of your hand as you can see in the photo below, this makes it perfect to rub over your hair.

The Good and the Bad

I was very sceptical about using a shampoo bar as I had never tried one before, I had heard of them but had never got around to trying one so was pretty excited when I was given this to try.
So The next morning in the shower this little thing came with me, i wetted my hair and the shampoo bar and rubbed it over my hair, to start with I didnt get much of a lather but when using both hands to rub it in an amazing lather was created. It smelt absolutely gorgeous and could really smell both the tea tree and the lime when wet. After Dried my hair it was left super shiny and soft and it smelt so amazing! I was getting compliments at work about the scent it left. Using the shampoo bar over the past few weeks has made a massive difference to my hair and it means I do not have to wash my hair everyday anymore which is fantastic for me as I find it such a chore.

There is only one Bad point that I wanted to address in this review and that was that I think the soap bar would be better coming in a tin as it will stay dry when in the shower and not using the bar and means it doesn't get stuck to the soap dish and leave a mess. You cant keep it in the box as once it gets wet it starts to fall apart so a Tin is the way forward.

Overall I love this product. I've already shown it off on Instagram and all my friends that live away are interested in it so I have Christmas presents sorted already. I cannot wait to purchase another bar as soon as possible.

Anatomical's Face Mask Review

Hello you lovely people

Well that's us  in September already. Ill do another little life update post in a little while.

Todays post is a review post on some gorgeous Anatomicals face masks
The 3 face masks I was kindly sent

The first mask I decided to give ago was "The hottie is never spotty" this is an anti-blemish mask.
This mask from the start was amazing, it smelt absolutely gorgeous and felt amazing on my skin, it was almost as if you could feel it working right underneath. i left the mask on for the recommended time as stated on the back of the sachet and then washed it off using some warm water. straight away i could see my skin looked less red and blotchy and it felt so clean and smooth. I thoroughly recommend this mask if you want your skin to look clearer and cleaner!

The second mask i tried was "I feel the need, the need for seaweed", this is a bright turquoise mask that tingles as soon as it hits your skin. I used this on a fairly warm day and felt some relief from the heat by using this mask, after washing it off my skin felt great but not as nice as the other two masks- sorry guys this wasnt my favourite mask!

The final mask i tried was the "look you've got chocolate all over your face". This mask reminds me of the lush cupcake face mask in the way of the smell, the texture and the way it left my skin feeling. I felt like i was smothering chocolate icing over my skin and it felt amazing. when it came to washing it off it came off like a breeze and left my skin feeling extremely hydrated! This was certainly my favourite mask and I will definitely be buying this again.

Final thoughts
So my final thoughts for these masks: I love the face they come in sachets instead of tubes as if you get a mask your not so happy with your not wasting a whole load of product. But I really wish you did a tube with the chocolate mask as this was my absolute favourite.

Anatomicals also sell shampoo and body care products, im particularly fond of " sud the lot of you" mango body cleanser.
