Glossybox June 2016 review

Hello everyone

I just want to apologise for the delay in posting this review. Its just taken ages as I didn't want to ruin the box but I bit the bullet and opened it.

So June was my first ever glossybox and I was so excited about it arriving. Sadly the day it got delivered I was at work so I had to wait 😔 and go and pick it up from the post office delivery centre two days Later! When i got to the delivery centre there was two glossy boxes there which I couldn't understand because I only ordered one.

I couldn't wait to get home and open it. As soon as I got back I sat down and literally ripped the outside packaging off. And this is what I got.
I could not get over how gorgeous the box design was. Even though it was a simple pink colour with the Glossybox logo on the top with "Glossybox" embossed also. The box is of amazing quality and really sturdy so the box is a definite keeper to store things in after. I'm the top of the box came a card saying welcome to Glossybox and the Glossybox magazine telling you all the products that are in the box. There was a beautiful ribbon around the tissue paper with the Glossybox sticker over the top.

The first item in the box was the starskin bio-cellulose soothing eye catcher gel sheets. These are meant to help soothe dark circles and bags under your eyes as I got the two boxes I saved one to take pictures of and used the products out the other one. So trying these I followed the instructions of leaving them on for 20 minutes as instructed. After removing the sheets I have to be honest my eyes dos look brighter and felt tighter which I was amazed at. This was a full size product and the RRP for this is £8 I think.

The next item in the box was from Aussie, it was their 3 minute conditioning reconstructer for damaged hair. I've not got around using this product yet but having used it in the past I know how well it works already. It smells absolutely Devine and I know I'll definitely be purchasing the full size product of this when I get paid. The sachet of this costs around £1.50 and the full size around £6 in all major supermarkets and shops such as boots and superdrug

Next up is a lip and cheek tint from a company called emite make up. This is another full size product it's a really really nice deep pink colour and really shows up on your lips. If I'm honest I wouldn't have a clue how to use it on my cheeks 😂 I really wouldn't. It's an amazing colour though and like I said its lush on my lips. The RRP on this is £12.50

Next up is a product from a company called ladival they have kindly send out a full size product of their sun protection cream in spf 15. I've not tried this yet as the British summer just hasn't let me. So I honestly can do a proper review but it smells amazing I can tell you that and it's not greasy like some sun products you can use. The RRP for this is £19.99 and I have two of them that's £40 worth of product in two things.
My next item out the box is an after sun product from the company de bruyere . Again like I said in the last post I can't do a full review on this one as the British summer just hasn't let me. Really annoying but it amazing it has a really nice scent to it and leaves my skin really soft. The RRP for is is £9.48 seems such a random price.

The final product in this month is from spa to you with the natural Konjac sponge. I've been wanting one of these for ages but haven't wanted to pay out the expense for them. At £6.99 it's not that expensive but when you have to replace then every 6/8 weeks it could get an expensive habit. Anyway I've been using this for about 4 weeks now and I can say it's made a small difference to my skin. But if I can get one cheaper then I'll carry on using them.

This concludes the June Glossybox and my review

Thank you for reading

My July make up favourites

Hello girlys and guys

I just thought I would do something a little different I thought I would do my July make up favourites and then do my general July favourites when I'm home from hospital.

So these are my July make up favourites

So the first one is maybelline baby skin primer. I love this it makes a massive difference to my skin it completely covers up my pores that show. Leaves my skin feeling really smooth and gives it a nice base ready for the foundation. The RRP for this is usually £7.99

My next favourite is from make up revolution and it's their vivid baked highlighter, this looks amazing after I've put on my foundation and powder just gives my skin a small bit of shimmer and make my eyes stand out more which is amazing. This was around £3 in superdrug.

Next up is from make up academy or  MUA. It's the brow gel in dark brown  these just fills in the gaps in my brows which is perfect. This was £2 from superdrug.

Following on with my brows I got the benefit ready set brows Brow gel for free in the Marie Claire magazine which was  £3.99 and the gel it's self is worth £9 for the size I've got. I've been using it for a week now and it's absolutely amazing it's sets my brows and has been perfect in keeping my brows tame for the whole day.

Next up is from collection, it's the lengthening last mascara in ultra black. I've been using this for for around 18 months now. It's a favourite every month. It's just amazing, it doesn't smudge it leaves my eyes look open and bright and makes my lashes look perfect! I love the  brush that comes with the mascara it spreads my lashes so they do not get stuck together and this is definitely a firm favourite. This is usually £3.99 from all major retailers such as boots, superdrug, Asda etc

My last favourite is again from MUA. It's a lipstick in a nude colour called bare. It slides on with no trouble and stays on a lot longer than some of the more expensive lipsticks you can buy on the market which i have purchased in the past. For £1 you certainly cannot go wrong especially this colour it can go with any outfit been a nude colour.

So these are my make up favourites from July 2016. I love all of these products. When I get home from hospital I will do a post about my general favourites from July.

Thank you for reading and be sure to follow my blog.

Thank you

Birchbox review June 2016

Hello girls and gents

Once again I'm delayed about writing this review as it is from the June Birchbox.
Basically I signed up to Birchbox because there was so much hype on Twitter and online about it so i had to sign up and see what all the fuss was about.
The sign up process was really easy and quick.

The box arrived about a week later. And I was impressed. The box it's self was a little smaller than what i had imagined it to be but it was ideal because it fitted through my letter box, saved me a trip to the post office to collect it later that week.

Once the the outside packaging had arrived I fell in love with the actual box. It was covered pineapples and was formed so there was a draw that slipped out.

And this is what was in my Birchbox
See how pretty the box,'it's definitely a keeper to add to my little collection to my desk as tidy or something along those lines.
So inside the there was the Birchbox magazine telling you about each product, the price of each product, whether or not it was full size. The products found in the Birchbox was the following:

*Huygens exfoliating cream which was the Birchbox exclusive product which  retails at £17.90
* Percy& Reed reassuring firm session hold hairspray which was a 50 ml travel size. Usually retails at £12.00 for 250ml
* which CC body cream (a shimmery body cream) this was again a sample size  but I don't have the product with me for the size but for 142ml it retails st £24.70
* jelly pong pong lighten up (brighten and waterline the, this again was a full size product that retails at £14.95
* bioderma photoderm AKN mat spf 30 this was a bonus item and had around 7mls in the full size product has 40mls and retails at £14.00

These were all the products in this months box.
As this is my first box I have nothing to compare it to but overall i was really impressed. My favourite product has to be the whish CC cream as it leaves my skin soft and shimmery on a night out.

The price of Birchbox is £10 per month plus £2.95 p+p

Cheeky my cheeky little beauty haul 15/07/16

Good evening girlys and gents.

Your all going to be totally fed up of me by the end of this evening but this is the post I've wanted to do for absolutely ages even though I only bought the stuff 2 weeks ago. Next I picked up the baby lips peach punch lipbalm which was £1.99 and on the 3 for 2 offer. The batiste was purchased in boots and was on offer for £1.99
Then finally I picked up the following bits:
The co lab dry shampoo in New York scent which is fruity was £1.29 in the travel section I also got a voucher for another free travel size (50ml) when I paid.

Ms flow box-June 2016

In june I thought I would sign up and give the ms flow box a try.

Like ms flow is a monthly subscription box for your period. It's a bit like pink parcel. This is the box that everything comes in

In the box you get the following
You get the following:
*12 tampons
* 5 night pads
*5 liners for the day time

This is enough for 5 day period. These come in a cute little paper bag like you would get in the sweet shop.

Then the main bit that makes the time of the month just a little bit more bareable.
You get the following:
* jelly belly packet of assorted jelly beans
* a bounce energy ball in cacoa and orange flavour
* the naked tea company lemon sorbet flavour tea
* a ms flow pineapple and coconut candle £6.00
* an anatomically chocolate anti-stress face mask £1.00
* a Lord and berry fluid delicate make up remover £8.00
* the fudge kitchen drinking fudge drink( this is amazing with cold milk and ice) £1.00
* the herb garden massage bar £4.00

All in all I think this is a great value box I couldn't find the price list for this box as I was silly and chucked it away before I had the chance to review it but I have filled in the ones I do know from the ms flow website. But it is worth way more than the price I paid.
Paid £7.50 plus £2.95 postage and packing as i was kindly given a bloggers voucher code but everyone who is new to signing up can get 15% off the orginal price of £14.99 by using the voucher Code ' WELCOME15' on the payment page.

I've tried other monthly subscription boxes and this one is definitely competition for the others.

You can find out more about ms flow on their website at

Thank you kindly for reading and please follow my blog as I'd be so grateful

Veeda tampon and pads product review

Good evening ladies and gents
I've just realised that I hadn't posted my review about the pads and tampons I was kindly sent to try back in June. As you ladies I've had to wait to try out these products haha..

I contacted veeda in the middle of June asking if I could possibly try some of there products and they were really kind to say yes. I didn't to chose what products I wanted to try but I did not mind as they were been really kind and letting me try the products and review them free of charge. Before I tell you about the products let me tell you a little bit more about the company itself.

Veeda was company that was started by two Australian men after their friend returned home to her native Brazil after she could not find natural tampons in Australia. Their main mission statement is to strive for every woman to be informed about and have access to hypoallergenic, toxin free 100% natrual cotton tampon.
The company make tampons, towels and liners at all different absorbencies.

I was kindly send the two following products free and of charge in return for this review.
Veeda 100% natural cotton regular non applicator tampons which are £1.85 for 16.
These are the following:
* no chemicals, no synthetics and no dyes
* biodegradable tamping and string
*hypoallergenic
*fragrance free

I will be honest here I haven't tried this product as I can't used non applicator tampons as I find them to uncomfortable to use.but they haven't been wasted I have passed them onto to the local women's refuge shelter as I thought someone may be able to use them.

The second product I was send was
Veeda 100% natrual cotton ultra-thin regular towels £2.49 for 14

I used these over night and I have to admit these are the best towels I have used for a long time. Far better than one of the leading marketed products. They didn't leak at all considering they were ultra thin. Neither did they have any unpleasant odor like you can get with some towels even when they are fragranced, I really liked the fact that they were that soft and thin it didn't feel like you were wearing a pad at all it felt like you just had your knickers on. They were easy to change and the wrapper was whisper quiet so you can discreetly change the towel in a public toilet without people hearing which I personally thought  Was great.

Overall I think personally would consider using veeda again over well known brands just because they are good not just for me but for then environment also.

You can purchase them both from boots in store and online at
www.boots.com
And on the veeda website at
http://veeda.co.uk/collections/all

Aleva skincare review

About 6 weeks ago i contacted Aleva naturals who are an skin care brand who specialise in baby skin care products. As a suffer of really sensitive skin I wrote to them explaining this to them and they were really kind enough to let me chose some products to try and review for them.

I chose the following four products to try
* bamboo baby wipes
* sleep easy calming lotion
* calendula cream
* stretch mark cream

I will link my reasons for choosing each product on the review below.

The first product I chose to review was the bamboo baby wipes which came in a pack of 30 wipes. They are unscented and have no parfumes like other brand of wipes, I've been keeping these in my handbag for freshening up during the day and using them while I've been in and out of hospital because they are ideal to have a quick wipe down with. They didn't irritate my skin like other branded wipes have done in the past. I would definitely consider buying these again after j have finished using these wipes. The RRP for these are $27.70 Canadian dollars (which is about £16) for 420 wipes.

The second product I chose to try was the sleep easy calming lotion as my I thought this would be great to put on my skin after a long day at work and nice bath and would help me sleep after with the lavender found in it.its quite a large bottle at 240 ml so should last a whole as I'm only using small amounts at a time. The RRP for this product is $6.98 (which is about £4.24) depending how long this product lasts I may consider purchasing this again. So far I'm really happy with it.

The Third product I chose to review is the calendula cream. The main reason I chose this product is because I suffer from bad eczema. This cream is usually so expensive to buy in the uk so I thought I would review it as well as saving my skin. It really helps with severe flare ups as its a natural cream which is unscented and has no colourings in it. The cream is ideal as it is a multipurpose cream so can be used on cracked skin, cracked and chapped lips, cracked heals, sunburn relief and many other uses, I would definitely be buying this cream again what ever the price as this has been a life saver the past few weeks. The cost of this cream is $12.99 (which Is about £7.50) for 50 mls which is small but like I said it's a lifesaver.

The fourth and final product I chose was from the maternal range, I chose the stretch mark cream as I put on a lot of weight a few years ago and ended up quite stood out stretch marks, even with losing the weight I still had the stretch marks, even though I've only been using the cream for a maximum of 5 weeks I've started to notice a change already, the marks have started to fade already and aren't looking so angry or purple any more. I have the 100 ml tube so should last me a while but to repurchase it, it will cost me $14.93 (which is about £8.63)

I have really enjoyed working with Aleva and would definitely consider working with them again in the future if I had the chance.

As a fairly new company to the UK you can check out their products on their website by clicking the link below. I've had such pleasure and kindness when communicating with their employees..

* as a disclaimer all the product in this blog post were sent free of charge by the company in return for the blog post* also all the converted prices are correct at time of writing*

See you all again soon

Stripease sugar wax hair removal

Last month I was kindly sent a pot of the sugar stripease  wax hair remover.

The product contained the following
* a 250ml pot of the sugar stripease with cover
*15 reusable/washable wax strips
* 3 splatulas for applications
* instructions

I am using this quote from the sugar stripease website which I will link below at the bottom of my post.

"Sugar StripEase is a truly unique hair removal product made from 100% natural ingredients. Our specialist blend of sugar syrup and water provides the most gentlest and smoothest treatment of hair removal."

I first used this after I had soaked in the bath, I thought this would be the best bet as the pore would be open more to make  the hair removal easier and less painful. I was quite sceptical about trying this wax as I have had a bad experience in the past using home wax. When I opened the product and took off the protective cover I was quite pleasantly surprised. The wax smelt absolutely Devine and sweet not like other waxes where they have an awful chemical smell.

I read through the instructions popped the pot in the microwave for the stated time. The wax came out and it was lovely and runny and wasn't scalding hot and was able to put straight on to my skin without burning myself. I used the large spatula as I was putting a largish amount on my legs. Once the was in place I popped a clean strip which are non-fraying and washable after use, I pressed down and 3…2…1… pull. I was so surprised how much it didn't hurt. I carried on the process on both legs and the best bit was that the wax just dissolves with warm water so it's easy to remove the Excess wax without having to scrub it off.

All the products made by sugar stripease are all cruelty free and none are tested on animals.

You can purchase the sugar stripease wax kit with the strips and spatulas fro £9.99 on the website linked below or at the following retailers:
Amazon.co.uk
Superdrug
Love lula
Feel unique.Com
And many other retailers.

The website can be Found here:

Thank you for reading and give me a thumbs up and any comments will be answered fairly quickly.

Koko dairy free product review

Hello guys and girls, welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be reviewing some products that were kindly sent from Koko dairy free . This is a company that specialises in coconut milk.

They kindly send me the following products to review:

Two 1L cartons of the original milk
One 1L carton of the light milk
One 1L carton of the chocolate flavoured
Three 250ml cartons of the strawberry milk
Three 250ml cartons of the chocolate milk.

My favourite of the collection sent has to be the chocolate milk it is amazing, it has the most amazing aroma to it of a mixture of the coconut and the chocolate. It smells awesome. The taste and flavour go so so well together and it made me feel that I was in the Caribbean drinking Malibu on the beach. I also tried it warmed up as a healthy hot chocolate which was Also amazing. I sell have some of it left so I want to make a frappe with it using Ice.

The original and light milk I've been using with my slimming shake as an alternative to Normal milk, it really gave them a flavour boost and made them taste creamier, and it was also healthy which is a bonus.
Even on cereal I loved them, I was cheeky and used the strawberry milk while cooking last week. It made the buns taste absolutely Devine and also used it in the buttercream to give an alternative flavouring. Unfortunately the cakes got eaten that fast I didnt get a chance to take a photo to put on here.

You can find more information about Koko dairy free on their website which is linked below.

Hello girls and guys

Today's review is of a product that I was kindly sent from a lovely company called works with water.  I was kindly sent their beautify skin Daily jelly supplements for skin, these are in delicious apple flavour.

It states that the above ingredients are natural and that have been proven to deliver anti-ageing skin benefits to maintain a youthful and glowing complexion.

Sorry for the lack of posts

Hello guys and girls

Just a few apologies for the lack of posts the last few days. I've had a pretty rough time in hospital including an operation. I've had a diagnostic laporscopy where they used a telescope and camera to look inside my tummy, they removed some areas of endometriosis which they said may have been causing the pain. I still have a catheter in place because I can't wee so it's not much fun tbh.

I'm still on the iv paracetamol and oramorph, been given an iv drug called cyclazyine which is an antisickness drug.
My urine output isn't all that great either even with a catheter it's still really hurting.

Haven't really got much to say at the moment apart from all i want to do it rest and sleep which I'm not getting much of.

Hopefully I'll get to do a full update very soon

Thank you

Guess where I am- 3rd hospital visit

Well I'm sure you can all guess where I am. I am back in hospital again, this time I am a lot worse than I was before.

I went to my gp surgery after starting to feel unwell over the weekend but not severe enough to be seen while I was up in the village. So cut a long story short I got to my gp yesterday at around 4pm I felt in pain but well enough to drive myself there and back. He checked my observations and said that i was close to becoming severely dehydrated so he rung the medical admitting doctors at the main hospital who said I was to come in as soon as I could get there so I went to see my best friends parents to see if I could get a lift to the hospital as my mum doesn't drive and my dad didn't answer his phone. So I went home and had a shower and phyl came and picked me up at half 6. Got to A & E at around 7 then the waiting began. I was seen by the triage nurse around 30 minutes after I arrived and she did all the observations again and put me in a que to be seen my the medical doctors. Then I started to be sick. 6 times I was sick between 8-10 before they moved me into the cubicles  where I was given some oral morphine then was left until 11 when they found me a bed on a ward. Then the nurse realised that I hadn't had any blood taken or a cannula put in so she had to quickly do it before going upstairs to the ward.  To out it lightly I had a shocking nights sleep because of the stupid amount of pain and sickness..

This morning I'm still been sick and I'm super super tired and in pain so have to wait for a CT scan to be done so they can look a bit more easier..

I shall keep you all updated over the coming days.

Hospital day 4

Yes I'm still here haha, hopefully been moved to a quieter ward or a ward without shouting later, it's so loud but on the plus side I've got a chance to order my subscription boxes (check out my other post) and contact loads of companies for different review products so far I've had quiet a few yes emails back and I know some companies send products straight out with out replying.

I've managed to update my Facebook page but need to change it slightly when I get on my laptop. I've found an awesome blog that tells you about loads of different beauty boxes etc.

It's called which beauty box uk
The link is
http://whichbeautyboxuk.com

Check it out it's brilliant at giving reviews before you subscribe.

Managed to get in contact with a few other YouTubers also which is great.

New beauty box subscriptions

Sorry me annoying you lot again,

This afternoon I've subscribed to a few new subscription beauboxes including the GlowwBox

This is predominantly for girls with darker skin tones but I thought I would give it a try as it was £2 for the first box plus £3.95 for P+P using the promotional code SQUADLOVE

I'm looking forward to reviewing this box in the near coming future, the review will be up on this blog when it arrives

Here is my referral link so check it out

The second beauty box I have subscribed to is
Glossybox

My referral link for this on is
https://www.glossybox.co.uk/referal?CI=MzM0MDA4
I paid £13.25 for this box and I am so so excited about receiving this in the post.

The next subscription is Birchbox

I paid £12.95 for this one. I will probably end up deleting each subscription after the first box if I don't enjoy them.

I have also subscribed to degustabox again for £4.99 instead of £12.99 so once that arrives at the end of the month the it shall go up also!

Thank you for reading again

Hospital blog day 3

Hello ladies and gents

I'm back again with another blog, still in hospital 😩😩 and on day 3 now.
I feel absolutely sick, I've been poked, prodded  and needles poked into me far to much. I know it's for my own good but it's making me feel worse if I'm honest!

So today I've just laid in bed if I'm honest. I went out to the shower this morning. But nearly collapsed so been in bed since. I'm feeling so so I'll. My back and my tummy are hurting so much I just want to get better. 😔😔

Right now I just want my boyfriend here for a cuddle. He makes everything better.

I've managed to email loads of companies for products to review or some samples. I've had a few more say yes today which is great so my blog will be looking good again soon and this time I promise to keep it up this time.

I know the post is short but there's only so much you can write about when in here.

Take care and speak to you all soon

Hello again

Hello ladies and gents

Sorry for the delay over the past few days . I've been trying to get better from this kidney infection which I got to go home from hospital on Saturday but sadly got rushed back in this afternoon really poorly again. I'm currently writing this from my ED Bed until I get a ward bed. To be honest I feel a lot worse than I did before. So cannulas back in and fluids up and running again.

Well I was in last week I had a chance to apply to companies to review some products to go on the blog. So far I've had around 10 companies agree to send out some products or vouchers/coupons to be able to purchase their products which in very excited about.

I'm going to spend my evening hunting out other company's to contact. (This is the perks of been looked after in the hospital I work in- free staff wifi)

I'm pretty serious about getting my blog up and running properly again and want to try and blog everyday.

So for now I'm going to try and get some sleep because morphine has completely zonked me.

I'll leave you with a few hospital snaps. Thank you
Again

Apologies once again

Hello ladies and gentlemen

One again my sincere apologies for not having any posts up for a long time, to cut a long story short I've been in the middle of a move so haven't had much of a chance to write to company's in order to get some review products.

I've started applying once again to get some so hopefully over the next few weeks I shall have some products to show off to you all.

To catch up with my life I'm currently in hospital with a really bad kidney infection and kidney stones so I am having strong antibiotics and painkillers in order to get rid of them.

I've got  a few freebies to put on a freebie post when I get home and few bits and pieces that I picked up along the way the past few months from various companies but nothing to major.

So from here I shall say thank you for sticking by me and happy reading.
